Why
Attend CTEF's Hands-On Courses
If faster, better and work smarter are words you want to use
to describe your service, then take the next few minutes to
read about the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation's (CTEF) and
what its courses can do for you.
CTEF
offers an extensive curriculum of ceramic tile installation
courses based on the very latest information available from
the American National Standards Specifications for Installation
of Ceramic Tile A108/A118/A136.1 and the TCA Handbook for Ceramic
Tile Installation published by the Tile Council of North America
(TCNA).
A tour of the TCNA offices, lab and research
center located at the Clemson University Research Park is
included with each Pendleton session. This presentation along
with the lecture and hands-on training provides an unparalleled
educational experience in ceramic tile.
Our 9,000-s/f facility is equipped with the
latest in tools, products, and accessories and is dedicated
solely to teaching ceramic tile technology and installation.
Learn what you need to get the job done!
The educational programs provide a basic working knowledge
of the subject and include hands-on practice. Students leave
with the ability to perform basic installation operations
and the knowledge of what it takes to do the job correctly.
The CTEF course manual and reference materials provide the
information needed to complete installations as your skills
continue to develop. All required tools and safety equipment
are provided. The instructors will demonstrate each task to
be performed. Your own work clothing is required and kneepads
(if a special type is desired). Our instructors are available by phone or
email for consultation at no charge during normal working
hours should assistance be required for up to one year after
attending our courses.
Access to 100 Years of Expert Instruction
Each of CTEF's instructors has more than 30 years experience
in the installation process. Professionals attending CTEF
courses will learn tricks-of-the-trade as well as technical
perspectives. We accept a maximum of 20 students per hands-on
course trained by two experienced instructors. Certificate of Completion Available
Certificates of completion are available and are issued upon
satisfactory completion of work modules and a written test.
Testing may be done at anytime up to 30 days after the completion
of your class. Testing will be on a pass or fail basis. The
test covers the content in the CTEF manual and reference materials.
Successful completion of the test will require additional
reading of materials that are provided as part of the instructional
package. One retest will be provided at no charge. Testing
is not mandatory and required only for those seeking certificates.
